A Brand New Development In Santa Clarita: FivePoint Valencia

In this episode of SCV Connect, I’m going to tell you how to get a house at the new FivePoint Valencia development right here in Santa Clarita. We’ll look at the location, amenities, and housing prices so you can decide if this project is right for you. 

All About FivePoint Valencia

As I’m sure you’ve heard about or experienced, the housing market is a bit crazy right now. It can be very difficult to find and buy a home out there, especially in a desirable area like Santa Clarita. However, we have a new development here in the SCV called FivePoint Valencia. They’re now selling homes—and I’m going to tell you how to get one of them.

The FivePoint project is located about 35 minutes from Los Angeles—and, as they say, 0 minutes from magic. This is because the entire project is adjacent to Six Flags Magic Mountain. It’s also very close to the intersection of the 5 and the 126 freeways. The project is a partnership with the developer and several builders that include KB Homes, Lennar, Richmond American, Toll Brothers, and Tri Pointe Homes.

Amenities and Home Options

The FivePoint development is slated to be the most sustainable and environmentally friendly planned community. Every home will have solar power, and there will be over 2,000 vehicle charging stations throughout the community. Numerous spaces are planned for recreation between the vision of neighborhood parks, and the network of sales and outdoor life is always accessible.

Imagine being minutes from a hiking trail up in the picturesque hills, beyond the buzz of the city and surrounded by thousands of acres of spectacular quiet. There are homes of just about every type being built here, including apartments, condos, townhomes, duplexes, and your traditional single-family style. I also want to give credit to one of my peers, Wendy Devine, who has developed the most comprehensive website on this development. It’s called Ranchontheriver.com, and she’s done a great job.

The first portion of this project is called Mission Village. It sits on about 1,262 acres and there are plans for over 3,700 multifamily homes. These will include duplexes, townhomes, condos, single-family patio homes, and stacked flats (which are similar to condos). There are also going to be over 350 single-family homes. Finally, there is also going to be a commercial element with offices and retail, an elementary school, fire station, library, several parks, and recreation centers. You’ll be able to enjoy trails on an open space preserve and even take advantage of a transit center.

How To Get Into The Development

As you can see, it’s clear that FivePoint Valencia is going to be a great development. So when will they start selling homes? The answer is that they’re selling them right now. However, the neighborhood is very much in construction and is not currently open to the general public. They are, though, making appointments to show the homes to registered and qualified buyers.

Many people have already purchased homes here and they’ll be closing before the end of this year. Needless to say, these folks are very excited. Models won’t be open to the general public until sometime during the summer of 2021, so if you’re interested, be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss that update. But what if you don’t want to see a model and would rather buy a home now? Currently, FivePoint homes are being sold by appointment only. To get an appointment, you have to register with each builder of the home or homes that you want to see. KB and Lennar are currently the builders who are selling homes and, once you’re registered, you have to get pre-qualified to purchase the home or homes that you might be interested in.

Once you’ve been approved to purchase, you’ll be contacted by the builder’s reps to make an appointment and see the homes that you’re interested in.
